Key Takeaways

  • Ritz has a new "baked to a crisp" version of its beloved cracker on shelves now.
  • The limited-edition flavor is perfect for snacking this summer season.

I loved eating Ritz crackers as a kid. Taking one by one out of the sleeve and enjoying that buttery bite after school always felt like a treat. Naturally, when Ritz launched its new Hot Honey-Flavored Crackers this winter, I had to try them and was pleasantly surprised by just how good they were. It was a little sweet with a touch of spice, and I found myself back in my childhood days, going through a sleeve of crackers a little too easily.

Now, Ritz has another new addition to its cracker lineup. This time it isn't about the heat on your taste buds, but it is coming out at the perfect time when the weather is heating up.

Ritz Launches New Sunkissed Crackers

Ritz is bringing on a brand new cracker just in time for summer: Say hello to Sunkissed. According to the box, this newest limited-edition offering is “baked to a crisp…with a nice tan” and adds an extra crispy crunch to the traditional buttery flavor we all know and love.

Flaky and golden, these new baked snacks can be enjoyed on their own, straight from the box, or paired with a vast selection of toppings. We love the thought of adding these crackers to an easy charcuterie board for summertime hosting, slathering on some jam and peanut butter for a sweet treat, or simply dipping them into homemade hummus.

What Our Editors Are Saying About Sunkissed Ritz

The team here at Allrecipes had a chance to try these new snackable crackers and had this to say:

“I liken them to an Extra Toasty Cheez-It,” says Senior Editor Courtney Kassel. “Tasty, but you’re sacrificing some of that buttery richness in the name of toast flavor. However, it’s a fun twist if you’re a fan of extra-toasty treats!”

News Editor Bailey Fink says even though these “crackers taste like a crunchier, crispier Ritz,” the Sunkissed flavor can take “away from the butteriness” that a Ritz offers. “While I wouldn’t eat this on its own,” she says. “I think it would work on a charcuterie board or with a dip.”

The new Ritz Sunkissed crackers can be found at major retailers this month, but won’t be around forever. If you’re looking to test out these golden brown crackers with a summertime glow, do it while you can this season.
