If you walk down the candy aisle, you’ll notice that the amount of chocolate far outweighs the other options. While the shelves filled with sour gummies and freeze-dried sweets are steadily growing, chocolate candy undoubtedly reigns supreme. You’ll also notice that one company in particular, Hershey’s, takes up a large part of the aisle’s real estate. The confectionery giant got its start in 1894 and shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s responsible for some of the most popular names in the industry including Reese’s, Kit Kat, and Heath, just to name a few. Through those brands, Hershey’s has continued to innovate offering unique spins such as Peanut Butter Pie Reese’s cups, cotton candy-flavored Kit Kats, and Butterbeer Hershey’s Kisses.
However, there is one flavor combination that even Hershey’s doesn’t shine the spotlight on often: coffee and chocolate. The duo is featured in plenty of drinks and baked goods like mocha cheesecake and espresso-infused chocolate chip cookies, but when it comes to candy, the options are few and far between.
Coffee lovers, you’ll be happy to know that Hershey’s is making things right by adding two bold java-inspired chocolates to its Hershey’s Nuggets lineup later this spring.
Hershey’s Introduces Caramel Macchiato and Cafe Espresso Nuggets
Hershey’s Nuggets Caramel Macchiato and Hershey’s Nuggets Cafe Espresso will once again grace shelves giving fans a fresh way to enjoy a cup of joe. Previously, these flavors were part of a holiday assortment but now shoppers can score them in standalone packages making it easier than ever to stock up on your preferred type.
The Caramel Macchiato version features all the flavors of your favorite coffee order in a bite-sized chocolate. Typically, Caramel Macchiato includes vanilla and espresso with a small portion of milk, so we can see why Hershey’s creamy milk chocolate was the ideal base for this treat. Those who prefer a bolder taste will appreciate Hershey’s Nuggets Cafe Espresso, which combines the rich flavor of dark chocolate and the intensity of espresso for an indulgent treat that packs a punch.
Starting in May, Hershey’s Nuggets Caramel Macchiato and Hershey’s Nuggets Cafe Espresso will be available for a limited time in 10-ounce pouches online and at Hershey’s Chocolate World locations in Pennsylvania and Times Square in New York City.
