LaCroix is a household name when it comes to flavored sparkling water. It’s light, bright, and comes in a variety of delicious flavors. There’s a reason why our Allrecipes Allstars chose the lime flavor as the best sparkling sip found in grocery stores. It’s “super thirst-quenching,” explained Allstar Carol Miller. “And it doesn’t have any imitation flavors.”

While the lime variety is certainly a fan favorite, other options like mango, tangerine, and pamplemousse are also just as loved. And now, LaCroix is offering a new flavor that's unlike anything we’ve experienced before. The name alone is so unassuming that we honestly have no idea what to expect in terms of taste, but we can't wait to try it.

The New LaCroix Sunshine Sparkling Water

Like most of us, LaCroix seems more than ready for spring weather. The popular sparkling water brand recently released a new flavor called Sunshine, and if that doesn’t get you excited for longer days and warmer weather, we don’t know what will.

What does sunshine actually taste like, you ask? Many fans asked the same question when LaCroix started teasing the new Sunshine water on Instagram. The brand was a bit coy in its reply, saying it is “our little mystery in a can! We can’t wait for you to tell us what you think it tastes like.”

Fans were eager to weigh in on their thoughts. "Am I confused? Yes. Will I be trying it? Also, yes," one person commented.

"It’s my flavor!" added another fan. "Golden afternoons, lemony warm day, cut grass, sunscreen…"

Someone else suggested, "I just know this is going to taste like [how] a kiss on the forehead feels."

According to LaCroix’s website, the new flavor is “a bright and sparkling blend of citrus and tropical zest, capturing the refreshing essence of a sun-kissed day in every sip,” which gives us a tiny bit more information, but it’s still somewhat vague.

The flavor isn't the only thing grabbing fans' attention. The design of the new can is also striking, with sunflowers printed all over. "It looks so beautiful," one person said. Another fan confessed, "I’m buying it purely for the pretty packaging."

We’re still curious about what to expect from this bubbly beverage, and lucky for us, LaCroix Sunshine Sparkling Water is now available at major retailers nationwide. If we can’t have springtime outdoors just yet, we might as well enjoy it in our drinks.
