Old El Paso is consistently launching new products to keep your Taco Tuesday fresh—from Tacobake kits to recreate the iconic Taco Bell Mexican Pizza at home to classic taco seasoning and tortilla bowls. But, since teaming up with the NFL’s Watt brothers—T.J., J.J., and Derek—it seems the brand has gotten even more creative.

Last year, Old El Paso released sweet taco shells coated in Cinnamon Toast Crunch dust and Churro Seasoning in partnership with the footballing brothers, as well as an all-new line of soups that the Watts put to the test in a food competition, “Watt Can Taco.”

Old El Paso’s canned soups are available in Chipotle Corn Chowder Soup, Chicken Cheese Enchilada-Style Soup, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Mexican-Style Chicken & Rice Soup, and Jalapeño Chicken Noodle Soup flavors. And now, the brand is taking its Tex-Mex-inspired soups to a whole new level: ramen.

Old El Paso Is Launching New Tex-Mex Ramens at Walmart

Following the buzz of the Totino’s Pizza Roll-flavored ramens, Old El Paso is joining the party with its new Fajita- and Beef Birria-flavored ramen.

Old El Paso’s Fajita ramen noodles feature a rich, smoky blend of peppers, onions, and cumin in a chicken broth. The Beef Birria instant noodles, on the other hand, have slow-cooked beef flavors in a slightly spicy, savory broth.

Much like the Totino’s Ramen Noodles, Old El Paso’s version won’t feature any meat, just Tex-Mex meat-flavored broth over slurpable noodles. With ramen constantly finding itself at the center of viral trends, General Mills wanted to offer its fans “exciting new ways to enjoy their favorite flavors,” according to a press release.

Old El Paso’s new ramen will be sold as a Walmart-exclusive, just like the Totino’s ramen, both in stores and online. We’re still a few weeks away from seeing these new heat-and-eat noodle cups on shelves, but social media is already abuzz with excited chatter.

General Mills has confirmed that both the Old El Paso Ramen Noodles and Totino’s Ramen Noodles will begin hitting Walmart shelves nationwide in April. It’s still not clear if the first-of-their-kind, new products will only be available for a limited time. But what we do know is that we can’t wait to see future Hall of Famers J.J. and T.J. Watt arguing over ramen tacos on the next installment of “Watt Can Taco.”
