Now, it's dropping a brand-new ice cream flavor that has many fans buzzing, with some calling it the "best flavor they've ever made." Others, on the other hand, are very excited about its striking semblance to another Blue Bell treat that fans have been begging for the brand to bring back.
Blue Bell Releases New Banana Fudge Ice Cream
According to a recent social media post, Blue Bell’s newest flavor to hit stores is Banana Fudge. Think creamy chocolate ice cream swirled with banana ice cream. As the post’s caption put it, it’s like “your favorite banana fudge bar, now in a carton.”
The banana fudge bar in question is, of course, the brand’s iconic Banana Fudge Bombstik, which was discontinued around the mid-2010s. Fans have been so heartbroken over its disappearance that they’ve even put together a petition for its return.
"YES!! MY CHILDHOOD IS BACK!!!" a fan commented on the post. Another fan just simply wrote, "This is a big win."
“Please tell me this tastes just like a fudge bombstik. I could cry just thinking about it," another Instagrammer pleaded.
While it's not exactly the same, one commenter who's already tried the ice cream said it has the “same consistency and everything [as the Bombstik], just not on a wood stick.”
The banana and chocolate combo is so popular that many are wondering, “Why is it only for a limited time?!!” Multiple fans are urging the brand to “make this a permanent flavor.”
According to Blue Bell, the new Banana Fudge Ice Cream will be available in all stores that typically sell its products, adding "it can take several days to reach all locations," so you might have to check back in with your local grocer, if you don't see it on your next store run.
The ice cream will be available in its signature half-gallon and pint sizes. However, it’s a limited-time offer, so it won’t be around forever. If you, too, have been waiting for the return of a certain banana fudge treat, you better run to the store and grab a pint while you still can.
