As much as we love OG foods from popular restaurants, we appreciate getting a deal on something just as good that we can make in the comfort of our own homes. And this month’s Aldi Finds have an iconic copycat we’ve been hoping would return.
Aldi always surprises us with amazing copycat items that are just as delicious as the originals, from upstaging Chick-fil-A to releasing a smash burger copycat. And we love their kitchenwares, too, such as this $13 take on a $100 Anthropologie style or the latest Williams Sonoma look-alike for grill season.
Now, Aldi is bringing back another fan favorite inspired by a menu item we love at Taco Bell. And this year, the Aldi Find is even more affordable.
Aldi’s Taco Bell Mexican Pizza Copycat Is Back

Starting April 23, you can nab Aldi’s take on a Taco Bell Mexican Pizza for a limited time. The retailer is offering its Casa Mamita Beef or Chicken Layered Tostada until April 29 for just $3.89 per 8-ounce box. With grocery prices soaring these days, we’re shocked to see this returning item less expensive than last year.
You can choose between chicken or ground beef. Both options are made with pinto beans and a red sauce smothered between two tortillas. The stack is then topped with various cheeses, tomatoes, and green onions.
You can find these layered tostadas in the freezer section at your local Aldi. When you’re ready to enjoy, just throw them in the oven, then dig in.
Last we checked, Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza costs around $5.39, so with all the money you’ll be saving by buying Aldi’s version, you can afford to throw in a Mountain Dew Baja Blast in your cart, too.
