From Mother’s Day to graduations, and even bridal showers for those tying the knot in June, there’s no shortage of things to celebrate in May. And lucky for us, every month, Baskin-Robbins drops a fresh flavor to make our special occasions even sweeter. Previously, the chain has featured a Chocolate Chip Cheesecake flavor and ice cream that tastes like our favorite cozy cinnamon roll. Last month, it launched a citrusy flavor that had us dreaming of our next vacation.
Now, the chain is launching a berrylicious scoop for May, in addition to a new tropical frozen beverage, and two cakes worthy of celebrating those you love most.
Baskin-Robbins’ May Flavor of the Month Is Strawberry Tres Leches
To celebrate National Strawberry Month, guests can indulge in Strawberry Tres Leches flavor ice cream, the newest addition to Baskin-Robbins’ craveable lineup. The creamy ice cream combines the rich taste of tres leches cake with sweet strawberry goodness. It features fluffy white cake pieces, strawberry chunks, and ribbons of strawberry swirled into a decadent scoop of tres leches-flavored ice cream. Starting May 1, guests can enjoy Strawberry Tres Leches ice cream in a cone, cup, as a milkshake, or layered in one of the chain’s decadent ice cream cakes.

For those unfamiliar, tres leches cake, aka three milks cake, is a rich sponge cake that gets its distinct taste and texture from three milk-based ingredients: whole milk or cream, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk. The ultra-moist cake is often served with whipped cream, which allows the cake’s light and airy texture to take center stage.
But that's not all that's new at Baskin-Robbins this month. The ice cream chain is also bringing a taste of the tropics to its stores with a new frozen beverage. While your summer vacation may still be weeks away, you can snag a refreshing Lava Colada, which blends a sweet and tangy piña colada base with fresh strawberry flavor.
Mother’s Day Cakes at Baskin-Robbins
This year, get moms and mother-like figures in your life something as sweet as they are with Baskin-Robbins’ newest ice cream cakes. The Perfect Peony Cake and Strawberries ‘n Cream Cake will be available to customize all month long. The Perfect Peony Cake features colorful peony flower designs and piped rosettes that leave plenty of space to add a heartfelt message. The Strawberries ‘n Cream cake is perfect for berry lovers and garnished with real strawberries and strawberry whipped frosting, making it not only perfect for Mother’s Day, but any birthday or anniversary, too.
