Pepperidge Farm has long been a breakfast time favorite on tables all across America—even those in the White House. From its classic soft white bread to hearty whole-grain loaves, the brand has always leaned into that warm, homemade feel. But recently, it’s started exploring a more indulgent side with the kind of loaves you’d serve for a special occasion rather than a routine weekday meal.
Longtime fans know that when it comes to the brand’s signature Swirl collection, a delicious treat is practically guaranteed. What began with timeless flavors like Cinnamon and Cinnamon Raisin has grown to include seasonal standouts like Pumpkin Spice and Strawberry. Last year’s Lemon Blueberry Swirl had shoppers practically sprinting to the bread aisle.
Now, Pepperidge Farm is cranking up the comfort once again with what may be its most decadent loaf to date.
Pepperidge Farm Launches New Caramel Brioche Swirl
Pepperidge Farm just dropped a new Swirl bread that looks like it came straight from an artisanal bake shop: Caramel Brioche Swirl. And if the name alone isn’t enough to tempt you, the loaf’s golden brioche base and ribbons of rich caramel certainly will.
Each slice is thick, soft, and pillowy straight from the bag—but toast it, top it with butter or a smear of Nutella, and you’ve got a breakfast that could get anyone out of bed. If you’ve ever had a spoonful of warm caramel bread pudding or taken a fresh churro for a dunk in dulce de leche, then you know exactly what Pepperidge Farm was trying to capture. In other words, this is no ordinary loaf.

The Caramel Brioche Swirl is stunning enough to be the star of your spring brunch or Easter spread, yet simple enough to make Monday mornings before work feel a little more special. And if you’re already dreaming up ways to use it, you’re not alone. Fans are calling it a must-try for over-the-top French toast, bread pudding, or sticky pull-apart bread.
According to the brand, this release is partly inspired by a growing trend of sweet tooth-driven breakfasts. A recent Toast study cited a surge in demand for “breakfast desserts”—think ice cream-topped waffles and croissant doughnuts—and this caramel-infused bread falls right in line.
“Pepperidge Farm Swirl bread is a beloved staple on breakfast tables nationwide,” said Ama Auwarter, Vice President of Pepperidge Farm Bakery Marketing at Campbell Snacks, in a statement. “Our newest flavor, Caramel Brioche, has sweet browned caramel and brioche buttery flavors that we hope breakfast lovers will adore.”
The new loaf is rolling out now to retailers, including Target and Instacart, priced around $4.69 for a 14-ounce loaf. Like other seasonal Swirl flavors, it’s likely to be a limited-time offering, so if you're a fan of sweet breakfasts, you may want to grab it while you can.
If this dessert-for-breakfast trend sticks around, this probably won’t be the last over-the-top Swirl loaf we see from Pepperidge Farm in the near future. And we are 100% okay with that.
