Matthew McConaughey’s tuna salad has them in it. Cheetos recently added the flavor to its Flamin’ Hot crunchy snack. The Pioneer Woman combines them with bacon for a poppable bite. Even Hippeas Chickpea Puffs have embraced them.

We’re talking about pickles—the salty, sour, and sometimes sweet but always irresistible fermented cucumbers. Adding pickles to everything under the sun isn’t exactly new, but there seems to be no end in sight. In an interview with AP last year, Alex Plakias, who teaches the philosophy of food at Hamilton College in New York, said the pickle can be “all things to all people.”

Wawa, the predominantly East Coast convenience store chain that also aims to be all things to all people—gas station, coffee shop, fast food chain, pizza parlor, or roadside pitstop for a bathroom break or TastyKakes—has added a pickle item to its menu that can seemingly go on everything.

Wawa’s New Pickle Menu Features Dill Pickle Ranch Sauce

Instagram’s @snackwithzach was the first to alert us to Wawa’s newest condiment, Dill Pickle Ranch. While he never says it comes in the form of a sauce, a Reddit thread shows Wawa paperwork that confirms it is indeed one.

The pickle-infused ranch sauce is an option on breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. In addition, Wawa has also added crispy pickles to its menu because, well, why not?

A few of the items available with Wawa’s Dill Pickle Ranch sauce include the Dill Pickle Ranch Breakfast Hoagie (scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, and Dill Pickle Ranch on a long roll); Dill Pickle Ranch Breaded Chicken Wrap (breaded chicken, cheese, crispy pickles, and lettuce); Dill Pickle Ranch Pizza; and Dill Pickle Ranch Breaded Chicken Mac & Cheese (a macaroni and cheese bowl topped with breaded chicken strips, crispy pickles, and Dill Pickle Ranch Sauce).

Because almost every Wawa menu item is customizable, pickle lovers can choose to put the new sauce or crispy pickles on nearly anything, creating lots of possibilities.

Reactions on Instagram were mostly positive, with @snackwithzach’s followers commenting, "It was messy but so delicious!” about the Dill Pickle Ranch Quesadilla. Another fan praised the Dill Pickle Ranch on Wawa's snack wrap: "Finally, when I ask for extra pickles, this is what I mean.”

One commenter—almost certainly an East Coaster, where Wawa has most of its stores—is pumped for the pickle-forward menu: “Beach trips boutta be next level with this at 7 a.m.” As a lifelong Jersey girl, I could just leave you with an “IYKYK,” but I’ll explain: It’s tradition for those heading to the shore to stop at Wawa for breakfast and also grab a hoagie for lunch later on the beach. (The latter is often devoured under a beach towel in an effort to keep the seagulls from stealing the sandwich.)

I wonder if seagulls like pickles?
