Taco Bell’s Live Más Live event, which was held on March 4 in Brooklyn, New York, is nearly a month behind us, and it seems like the buzz has officially died down. However, while the event’s 30 announcements were the talk of the past few weeks, we may have forgotten that now comes the fun part: getting to actually try those menu items.
While Taco Bell had quite a few items hit menus before Live Más Live, like the Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu, Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders, and the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla that’s currently being tested in Detroit, those newbies won’t have to sustain us for much longer. One of Taco Bell’s highly anticipated menu items—and the first new launch since Live Más Live—is officially on menus.
Taco Bell’s new Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas have landed on menus nationwide.
Taco Bell Launches New Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas

The new menu offering is a mashup of two fan-loved Taco Bell items that are no longer on the menu, the Toasted Cheddar Chalupa and Cheesy Street Chalupas.
The Toasted Cheddar Chalupa joined menus in 2019, taking the beloved deep-fried Chalupa and filling it with your choice of black beans, beef, chicken, or steak; sour cream; lettuce; cheese; and tomato in a deep-fried crunchy, cheesy shell. Then, Taco Bell shrunk its fan-favorite Chalupa to street taco size this past summer, bringing the Cheesy Street Chalupas to menus. These were made with your choice of Cantina chicken or grilled steak, topped with fresh onions, cilantro, and Jalapeño Ranch sauce, all in a double shell that was stuffed with cheese and fried together.
After the success of the Cheesy Street Chalupas, Taco Bell began testing its Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas later in the summer in the Houston market. Then, it announced the official launch at Live Más Live, and fans have been counting down the days to try them ever since.
Now, the street taco-sized Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas, made with onions, cilantro, a new Chile Lime sauce, and your choice of Cantina chicken or steak in a cheesy Chalupa shell, are available nationwide. For a limited time, you can grab the new Chalupas in a two-piece à la carte order for $5.49 as well as part of the Discovery Luxe Box. The meal deal features two Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas, a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink for $9.
Taco Bell Releases New Caliente Cantina Chicken Nacho Fries

The Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas are joined by the all-new Caliente Cantina Chicken Nacho Fries, which are also now on menus for a limited time.
The chain released its spicy version of the Cantina Chicken menu at the beginning of March with the debut of its fiery Caliente Sauce. Now, you can order your Nacho Fries topped with slow-roasted chicken, nacho cheese sauce, fiesta strips, and the spicy Caliente Sauce.
Both new menu items will be available for a short period (Taco Bell has to save room for the rest of its Live Más Live menu items, after all). So, grab them while you can and keep your eyes peeled for the next new Taco Bell menu item straight from Live Más Live—our fingers are crossed for the Quesocrisp Taco.
