If you’re chronically online (like us), then you might have noticed that California Pizza Kitchen, better known as CPK, recently wiped its entire Instagram feed. Now, the page has just a few photos and videos featuring a new look, inspired by streetwear fashion.
The brand has pretty much admitted to having a bit of a mid-life crisis as it's turning 40 this year. So, in honor of its 40th anniversary, CPK is rebranding itself—as well as bringing back fan-favorite menu items and promotions that have been discontinued over its four decades.
CPK Brings Back 4 Discontinued Menu Items
Taking a page from Taco Bell’s Decades Menu, which the chain launched this past fall and has already announced that it has plans to release more decades menu items this year, CPK is rereleasing four popular menu items from the past 40 years. The returning items were selected by fans and CPK’s own team members to get another life for the 40th anniversary.

Now through May 19, CPK’s fan-loved Rosemary Roasted Potato & Grilled Chicken Pizza, Chicken Milanese, Waldorf Chicken Salad, and Tortilla Spring Rolls are officially back on menus.
CPK’s founders Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax voted for the Rosemary Roasted Potato & Grilled Chicken Pizza to return to menus. The pizza features lemon cream sauce, grilled chicken, roasted Yukon gold potatoes, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, rosemary, and Greek oregano.
Chef Paul Pszybylski, CPK’s executive chef, chose the Chicken Milanese. The dish is made with crispy panko-crusted chicken breast topped with lemon and Parmesan, served with fresh arugula and homemade Italian salsa. You can also try the Chicken Milanese Chef Paul’s way, topped with a tomato basil sauce.
As for the Waldorf Chicken Salad, you can thank CPK’s own team members who requested for the salad to have a spot on the menu. The salad starts with a mix of greens topped with grilled chicken, red grapes, Granny Smith apples, celery, candied walnuts, and Gorgonzola tossed in your choice of Dijon balsamic vinaigrette or blue cheese dressing.
Last but not least, the CPK fans have spoken, and the Tortilla Spring Rolls are officially back. The flour tortillas are stuffed with your choice of Baja Chicken, Thai Chicken, or Mediterranean and baked to toasty perfection.
CPK's Thank You Card Promotion Returns
Along with the returning menu items, CPK is also reinstating one of its most popular promotions: Thank You Cards. From now through May 11, every adult guest will receive a Thank You Card with a hidden prize inside. This year, the gifts range from CPK meal discounts to gift cards and up to $40,000 in cash prizes. While every Thank You Card will have a winning price, you can enter for a second chance to win another prize. Each card will include a QR code, so all you have to do is scan the code and you’ll receive a $5 bonus and be entered for a chance to win a five-day cruise getaway.
