It has been a busy few weeks for those hard workers at PepsiCo. The beverage team acquired the fan-favorite prebiotic soda, Poppi; Rold Gold released an all-new line of Selects Pretzel Twists that are giving Dot’s a run for their money; Ruffles made one of its most-loved flavors permanent; and FritoLay introduced a new line of “Simply” snacks with no artificial flavors or colors. All that in the span of a few days—and, don’t think we forgot about the Lay’s Do Us A Flavor contest that’s supposed to be debuting its finalists in April.

But, apparently, all those delicious launches aren’t keeping R&D busy enough because Doritos just announced an all-new flavor that we’ll be rushing to try.

Following the success of its newest Golden Sriracha flavor, Doritos is releasing another Asian-inspired flavor: Flamin’ Hot Korean-Style BBQ.

Doritos' New Flamin' Hot Korean-Style BBQ Chips Are Dropping at Walmart

Dortios’ Flamin’ Hot Korean-Style BBQ combines the spicy kick of FritoLay’s signature Flamin’ Hot seasoning with Korean barbecue’s sweet and savory flavor. If you’re known to like extra gochujang in your soy, garlic, and ginger sauce, then the Flamin’ Hot seasoning on these Doritos should give you the heat you’re looking for.

Unlike Doritos’ Golden Sriracha chips, which are available at multiple retailers nationwide, the new Flamin’ Hot Korean-Style BBQ chips are only headed to Walmart. Doritos said it chose to make the flavor a Walmart exclusive because Asian-inspired snack sales have spiked at the retailer over the past year as more and more people become interested in global-inspired flavors.

You might recall Doritos released its first Asian-inspired flavor in 2024, but it was shrouded in Flamin’ Hot mystery. The Flamin’ Hot Mystery Flavor was later revealed to be Thai Red Curry and brought back to shelves for a second limited run after the positive reviews.

The new Flamin’ Hot Korean-Style BBQ Doritos will also only be a limited-time offering that's available in two sizes—a 9-ounce bag and a 2.65-ounce bag—at Walmart stores nationwide.

Doritos says the new chips will hit Walmart shelves beginning March 31, but Walmart is notorious for stocking its shelves a little earlier than expected. So, you might even be able to find the new spicy Korean-Style BBQ Doritos on your next Walmart run.
