Spring has officially sprung! How do we know? Because we all stood in line at our local Dairy Queen on March 20 to snag that free cone in celebration.

However, spring won’t be lasting long at the ice cream shop because DQ has already announced its summer menu. Did you do a double-take on today’s date? We did, too, but with warmer weather creeping in, it’s never too early for a Blizzard—especially when it includes one of the most-requested flavors’ long-awaited return.

On March 31, Dairy Queen is releasing its summer menu, which features two all-new Blizzards and three returning flavors, including the winner of the 2024 fan vote.

This spring and summer, you’ll find the returning Confetti Cake Blizzard and Cotton Candy Blizzard, plus the all-new Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard and Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard on menus. And, after beating out the Georgia Mud Fudge and Cappuccino Heath desserts in DQ’s fan vote, the S’mores Blizzard is officially returning.

DQ’s all-new Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard is perfect for those bakers who can’t help but lick the spoon after making brownies or cookies. The Blizzard is made with brownie batter and cookie dough pieces swirled in the famous soft serve.

The other new Blizzard, the Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard, is a mashup of two fan-favorite flavors, the Choco-Dipped Strawberry and Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzards. The new Blizzard features real cheesecake pieces, chocolate chunks, and strawberry topping mixed into the sweet vanilla soft serve for an indulgent treat.

In honor of the chain’s 85th birthday, DQ is bringing back its Confetti Cake Blizzard, made with cake pieces and confetti sprinkles in vanilla soft serve. The treat was a fan-favorite when it debuted in 2012—so much so that customers created a petition to make it a permanent offering. After it was brought back for a limited time in 2014, fans have been finding ways to recreate it ever since (like adding the Confetti Cake Dip to other Blizzard treats on the menu). There’s no need to DIY it now, as you can get the real thing for a limited time.

The Cotton Candy Blizzard makes its return every few summers and is made with cotton candy topping and cotton candy sprinkles.

Lastly, but maybe most excitingly, Dairy Queen is finally bringing back its S’mores Blizzard. The campfire-inspired treat was last seen in 2023, but fans were devastated to learn that it didn’t make the cut on the 2024 summer menu. Don’t worry, you can enjoy the marshmallow-filled chocolate bar and graham cracker crunch-filled Blizzard earlier than ever this year.

With the summer menu launching in March, it’s safe to say that you’ll have plenty of time to try the new Blizzards and get your favorite returning flavors before the fall menu takes over in a couple of months. But, don’t wait too long, because at the speed we’re seeing brands roll out seasonal menus, PSLs and Pumpkin Pie Blizzards will be hitting the drive-thrus in late July.
