Sometimes we wonder if those innovative minds over at Taco Bell ever get to rest. Like the geniuses over at Krispy Kreme launching new flavors every month, Taco Bell is constantly rolling out new menu items, while testing even more behind the scenes.

Each item goes through rigorous testing before ever hitting a menu—let alone all menus. So, all those delicious innovations Taco Bell is going to announce at Live Màs Live on March 4 have seen multiple rounds of testing, and there might still be limited market runs to come.

On Feb. 27, Taco Bell announced its Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders (which it tested in Ohio in 2024) would be available at all restaurants nationwide, along with the new Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros and Caliente Cantina Chicken menu. With one menu item out of testing, Taco Bell released three more into the wild—including a first-of-its-kind burrito.

Taco Bell Testing New Crispy Chicken Bacon Club Burrito

Taco Bell is testing a new Crispy Chicken Bacon Club Burrito for a limited time. The burrito is reminiscent of a chicken bacon ranch club sandwich—à la Jimmy John’s or Firehouse Subs—made with chicken strips, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, avocado ranch sauce, and bacon in a grilled tortilla. The chicken strips are similar to Taco Bell’s chicken nuggets—which it released in December 2024 and were an instant sensation—breaded with tortilla chips for the ultimate crunchy bite.

In addition to the club burrito and because Taco Bell is releasing its first-ever chicken tenders, the chain is offering Crispy Chicken Tacos and Crispy Chicken Burritos. Those items feature the new chicken strips and are topped with lettuce, cabbage, Cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, and your choice of avocado ranch or spicy Ranchero sauces.

Don’t worry, you’ll be able to buy the Crispy Chicken Strips à la carte as well, served with a side of spicy ranch.

If these menu items sound too good to be true, it’s because they practically are. Taco Bell is only testing the Crispy Chicken Strips and subsequent burritos and tacos in select restaurants in Indianapolis. Additionally, it’s testing a Crispy Chicken Bacon Melt Burrito, made with two chicken strips, melted cheese, lettuce, avocado ranch sauce, and bacon, in an even smaller market in Indianapolis.

If you live in Indy, check your Taco Bell app to see if your local restaurant is participating; however, if you live outside this test market, don't fret: Taco Bell is currently testing other items throughout the country.

Taco Bell Market Tests Across the Country

For a limited time in Detroit, you can try the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla, made with charred poblano peppers, grilled steak, spicy ranch sauce, and a three-cheese blend.

In Cincinnati, Taco Bell is testing its Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap, which originally came to New York City as part of its TBX preview. Now, the chain has fast food-ified it with crispy chicken strips coated in chile seasoning, a three-cheese blend, shredded cabbage, sweet and spicy hot sauce, and sour cream in a Crunchwrap shell.

Lastly, the restaurant’s Churro Chillers beverages, in Mexican Chocolate, Caramel Cafe, and Wild Strawberry flavors, are on their second market test in El Paso, Texas. After the Southern California test in 2023, Taco Bell changed the Spiced Vanilla variety to Wild Strawberry for its Live Más Café. Now, those three flavors are getting a bid for nationwide menus.

If it feels like a Taco Bell road trip to try all of these test items before it’s too late is in order, we don’t blame you. But, with Live Más Live announcements looming, we’re sure you’ll have plenty of new nationwide menu items to try soon. For now, it’s up to those test cities to get the burritos, Crunchwraps, and Churro Chillers to us.
