Bourbon Street in New Orleans is one of the most famous streets in the United States. Stroll down it any time of year, and you’re bound to find a party atmosphere. But come Mardi Gras, it’s where the party is in the U.S.

New Orleans is also known for its cuisine: muffuletta and po’boy sandwiches, beignets, gumbo, crawfish étouffée, dirty rice, and all sorts of Southern dishes influenced by Creole and Cajun cuisines.

The city is rich with culinary delights, so it’s not surprising that Applebee’s is tapping into the big and bold flavors of New Orleans for its Big Easy menu, which features Cajun-seasoned seafood, chicken, burgers, and more. And now, weeks ahead of Mardi Gras, the chain is adding two new “Bourbon Street Favorites” to its Big Easy menu.

Applebee’s New Bourbon Street Cajun Pasta

Andouille sausage is a key ingredient in many Cajun dishes, and it’s now the key ingredient in Applebee’s newest Big Easy menu offerings.

The new Bourbon Street Chicken and Andouille Sausage Penne features chicken, seared andouille sausage, bell peppers, onion, and a creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce over penne for $11.99. The second new dish to hit menus is the Blackened Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Penne, which has the same foundation as the Chicken and Andouille penne, except the main protein is sautéed shrimp as opposed to chicken, for $13.99.

Both new dishes come with Applebee’s signature garlic butter breadstick and are only available for a limited time.

Additionally, Applebee’s is adding a new chicken sandwich to its menus: the Spicy Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich, which features a crispy, breaded chicken breast topped with Applewood-smoked bacon on a brioche bun.

And that’s not all. Applebee’s is once again extending its limited-time Really Big Meal Deal, which allows guests to get a Big Cluckin’ Chicken Sandwich or Big Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, endless Classic Fries, and a fountain drink with free refills for just $9.99.

Who's now thinking about heading to Applebee’s this week? We know we are!
