The Role
The US Commercial Strategy Business Consulting team is focused on supporting our customers’ commercial strategies through the design and delivery of solutions for the core business issues faced by today’s commercial organizations.  The role of the Boston Practice Manager is to build out the Commercial Strategy book of business within the greater Boston region, hire a team of high performing consultants and develop offerings core to the success of Veeva’s commercial customers in Boston.
A majority of your time will be spent engaging with potential and current Veeva Business Consulting clients, expanding our network across enterprise & SMB, as well as identifying and hiring the consulting talent needed to meet the demand of the Boston market.  Because the Boston Life Sciences market represents some of the most cutting-edge products in the industry, an ability to develop offerings that leverage Veeva’s products, data, services, and consulting will be key to customer and business success. Opportunities to improve the execution of sales and brand strategies will be the primary focus of these offerings and will offer up the chance for innovation and creativity. 
We are looking for a leader with extensive experience in Commercial Life Sciences consulting, with a proven track record building teams, selling in large programs, and maintaining long-term, product client relationships.  This is an individual who knows the Boston market, has a well-established network, is looking forward to the challenge of building a new practice, and who is interested in getting busy quickly.  
This is a remote, full-time permanent role with Veeva with the preference for candidates to live in the greater Boston area in order to meet requirements to be at customer(s) site(s) as required.

What You’ll Do Serve as the leader of the US Commercial Strategy Boston Practice Recruit and hire a team of high performing life science consultants Manage a book of client engagements / balancing multiple engagements at once Leverage established, along with building new, senior level relationships across the Boston Life Sciences market Sell and deliver quality client advisory support within the Commercial Strategy domain Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure a healthy business Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the clients’ business Develop – and where appropriate – modify Commercial Strategy offerings to meet the need of the Boston Life Sciences market Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge Requirements Bachelor’s degree is required  12+ years of experience with Management Consulting experience, with 5+ in Boston Background and industry experience within Commercial Life Sciences Strong track record of experience delivering client advisory engagements, including examples of $500k+ deals/programs Proven track record of building high performing consulting teams Strong team leadership skills and ability to manage engagement economics Strong problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to travel roughly 40% but this can vary depending on engagement #LI-RemoteUS
