Failure to identify, develop, and maintain thought leader relationships has the potential to limit Lilly’s understanding of a disease, potential treatments, and the patients, HCP’s and payer’s needs.  These limitations can negatively impact the company’s ability to improve individual patient outcomes.  Therefore, we must prioritize and develop our thought leader engagement strategy to ensure we are meeting the needs of the patients we serve.Key Objectives/Deliverables:Serve as the Thought Leader (TL) Management Functional Owner-
Monitor industry best practices and leverage learning across key stakeholders
Influence complex regulatory, legal, compliance issues by leading the creation and/or modification of policies and procedures that impact Lilly TL’s across BU’s, functions, geographies.
Understand, guide, and influence the requirements and touch point interdependencies on related projects that may improve thought leader contracting, engagement, and the overall customer experience.  This may include but is not limited to systems, tools, training, processes, vendors, standards, policies & procedures.
Partner with the medical and global teams to develop, influence, and implement training related to the launch roadmap regarding TL functional strategy and capabilities
Leverage the Thought Leader forum and other focus groups as a way to connect, share key learning, and gain critical feedback across key stakeholders.
Provide expertise and support to development and medical affairs teams in the area of TL strategy development and TL management across BU’s
Product theater project managementStrategy Evolution:Develop and maintain an internal key stakeholder plan by identifying key roles that touch the customer so that there is a continual “line of sight” to all the critical stakeholders
Partner, listen, and engage with key stakeholders across medical and marketing to identify the launch needs assessment regarding TL management (identification, contracting, planning, engagement, and evaluation)Ensuring linkage to the overall portfolio TL strategies, develop short and long term Thought Leader strategy with a key focus on successful launch delivery
Lead, influence, and develop the strategy for thought leader engagement for launches  based on the launch needs assessment  from key stakeholders to ensure that the business needs and requirements will be met
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the TL launch strategy across BU’s
Identify any organizational barriers to implementing the TL launch strategy effectively and create a change management plan
Make trade-off recommendations to key stakeholders that enable the TL strategy and increase customer engagement
 Engagement and Experience:Provide best practices on thought leader identification, prioritization, selection, engagement, and satisfaction.
Partner with key stakeholders on their thought leader plan by providing specific ways to personalize engagement, retain, and strengthen relationships with key thought leaders
Provide the right TL management training to key stakeholders at the right time
Partner and influence functions within the customer meeting services and thought leader capability organizations to identify, change, and/or optimize any business concerns that may be obstructing the successful implementation of the TL launch strategyBasic Qualifications:-Bachelor’s Degree
-Experience in a Customer Facing role
-Experience with a strategy project -Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. -Knowledge of drug development process in the pharmaceutical industry

-Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with team members and leadership
-Previous experience in strategic planning
-Strong problem-solving skills; able to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes and take corrective action to prevent recurrence
–Teamwork orientation
-Personal organization and time management, adaptability and initiative
-Knowledge of various forms of customer communication/promotional activities and data needs within the evolving regulatory environment.
-Strong background in various forms of customer communications platforms
-Understand cross functional relationships across customers

-Diabetes experience a bonusAdditional Information:This is NOT a Peer to Peer roleLilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $103,000 to $172,500 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
