The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) organization is responsible for managing the Working with Third Parties program to support consistent, efficient, and effective risk management when engaging with third parties.  The central team’s scope will encompass priority business and risk areas across all stages of the collaboration lifecycle.
Successful execution of this strategy will reduce third party risk, strengthen capabilities, drive consistency and efficiency, and reduce cost.
The Compliance & Internal Controls Associate Director will support the design and implementation of a Global Working with Third Parties (WwTP) Compliance model to achieve adherence to ‘best in class’ third party risk management practices and policies.Responsibilities:Supports a data driven design of the WwTP compliance operating model and practicesResponsible for implementing the WwTP compliance strategy for global third party risk managementWorks closely with WwTP Operations & Capabilities teams in conducting research and benchmarking to inform the Compliance Operating Model design and implementationEstablishes and implements best in class WwTP policies and procedures, to achieve overall company objectives and compliance with any regulatory and internal policiesMonitors and reviews as necessary compliance and conformance procedures, advising amendments where appropriateAnalyses complex datasets to draw key insights, and translates these into strategic recommendationsMaintains and monitors Lilly’s external supplier portalExhibits strong commercial acumen, and the ability to identify drivers of non-compliance, process inefficiency, cost drivers and provide recommendations for improvementsServes as primary audit/assessment lead for internal/external purposesOwns and maintains key governance documents in accordance with program standards (e.g. WwTP E&C Procedure, WwTP Playbook)Qualifications:English fluency and ability to negotiate in EnglishBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting preferredMinimum Experience:10 years of relevant audit, compliance, internal controls experience preferredFamiliarity with risk management/business data analysis preferredExpertise in audit practices/process improvement/performance management compliance preferredJob Specific Skills:Strong data analytic and modelling skills (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)Support and drive process improvement, including the effective use of technologyAble to synthesize information from diverse data sources and present findings clearly and conciselyAble to draw insights from data sets and translate these to strategic recommendationsStrong communication and influence skills (written and verbal)Possesses strong business acumen (understanding how our industry operates, our value chain, our customers, industry dynamics etc.)Strong interpersonal and collaborative working styleAble to manage and prioritize competing requests with minimal supervisionEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
