And so the GBS we have today was born, still leading in finance, but also evolving and expanding into diverse Business Service functions including Customer Meeting Services, Global HR Data Management, Medical Information, Procurement, Trial Capabilities, Global Scientific Communications and more to come on stream in 2020/21.Lilly works with an extensive network of third party organizations to perform a vast range of activities across the enterprise.  Known internal risks that impact Lilly such as privacy, information security, compliance, pricing, IT, etc. are amplified or compounded with the use of third parties.  Today, third party oversight is decentralized at Lilly. There are many functions working with third parties in some capacity including, but not limited to: Procurement, Third Party Management Organizations (TPMOs), Risk Domain Partners including Audit/Assessment Teams.The TPRM organization is implementing a holistic program to support consistent, efficient, and effective decision making and residual risk reduction.  The central team’s scope encompasses priority business and risk areas across all stages of the third party collaboration lifecycle. Successful execution of this strategy will reduce third party risk, strengthen capabilities, drive consistency and efficiency, and reduce cost.The scope of the TPRM Central Team will include the following:Create and maintain policies, procedures, and training to drive consistent TPRM for third party use. Liaise with Risk Domain Partners to create and maintain: Risk Definitions, Tolerances, and Required Training for TPMOs, Engagement Owners, and Third Parties. Construct and own the overall TPRM Program. Provide oversight of the TPRM initial and on-going monitoring due diligence processes. Report progress and results to Senior Leadership including, but not limited to, the CPO, the SVP of Ethics & Compliance, and the Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management Committee (CERMC).The Global Process Owner Operations is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing execution of the Third Party Risk Management Operations Processes globally.Responsibilities:                                            Lead the design of the Third Party Risk Management Operations Processes evaluating effectiveness and enhancing as necessary.Overseeing deployment of technology changes by ensuing robust documentation and training for operations teamsLead engagement with TPRM Lead team to ensure smooth handoffs to operationsChampion a continuous improvement focused culture with operations teamsOversee the timely completion of Third Party Risk Management processes by responsible partiesEstablish and operate a control testing process to validate the accuracy of completed Third Party assessments and determine any required enhancements to improve performanceRepresent TPRM Operations at relevant meetings and Working Groups to design and implement enhancements to Third Party Risk Management processesMonitor industry leading practices for Third Party Risk Management to identify enhancements to Lilly’s TPRM ProgramAssess regulatory changes impacting areas of TPRM Operations to determine and implement any actions requiredQualifications/Competencies:Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred, managerial experience15+ years of relevant experience10+ years Third Party Risk Management experience, with in depth knowledge of assessing third party risk and associated control requirements within a global financial services organizationKnowledge of regulatory requirements for Third Party Risk Management and oversightExtensive knowledge of industry frameworks and leading practices for Third Party risk assessment and controlsEvidence of delivery of results with strong execution skillsAbility to analyze processes and data to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence senior managementStrong planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities through the effective use of time management and organizational techniquesEnergetic and effective leader with a proven record for risk management innovation, design, and technology with proven success implementing large-scale initiatives.Unquestionable integrity and objectivity, with ongoing commitment to excellence and the ability to operate in diverse environments and culturesEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
