We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Overall Job Purpose:Develop and implement and Diabetes Business Unit sales strategy to achieve the short and long-term sales goals.  Prepare sales forecasts, establish targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, market share, or business development and monitor the performance of the organization against these goals. Adjust sales strategies and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.  Oversee the overall sales budget for DBU, monitor the cost and effectiveness of sales activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending.  Lead, direct, evaluate and develop the DBU sales force to achieve established sales and profit goals.Reporting toSr. Director-Business Unit Director & CMODirect Report (subordinate)HBMs of DBU      Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the DBU sales team, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential.Establish performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitors performance on a continual basis.Oversee all hiring and training of personnel involved in Sales.Develop, implement and lead cross functional effort to execute the effective diabetes sales strategic plan to achieve sales target.Coordinate sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Company.Develop and/or maintains and improves business relations with internal/external customersSeek out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new businessDevelop and maintain a strong work relationship with key thought leaders.Lead and influence a successful and experienced team of Diabetes Sales managers.Monitor, analyze sales and market trends.Responsible for managing and controlling the DBU sales budgetResponsible for driving revenue and use learning’s from that experience to refine sales processes and to build an appropriate teamAttract, retain, train and motivate a diverse sales forceProspecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales.Qualification Bachelor’s degree in a business related fieldMBA will be a plus.Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales management capacity in the pharmaceutical industrySkills & KnowledgeHigh standard of ethics and complianceProven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approachKeep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business improvementAbility to discuss strategic and sensitive issuesMake strategic decisionsInspire others to share their vision and support them to reach a common goalCoordination and planning of budgets, people and time managementDedicated to improving resultsAnalytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequencesShow loyalty to the team by standing by decisions that benefit the organizationEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
