We are seeking an ambitious postdoctoral scientist with strong research and communication skills to contribute to high visibility research projects. Your work will contribute to the development of novel tools to understand G-protein Coupled Receptor pharmacology for the treatment of obesity and diabetes.If you are a self-directed and highly motivated individual who wants to learn new techniques while continually pursuing research and publication goals we want you on our team!Opportunities in this role:Conduct innovative molecular pharmacology studies to understand the basis of drug action at G-protein coupled receptors.Work with and be mentored by industry leading drug hunters, molecular pharmacologists, structural biologists and disease biology experts.Conduct groundbreaking research with industry resources and technology while gaining experience of the drug discovery process.Become a key part of the Lilly discovery platform for targeting GPCRs to treat diabetes, obesity, and other metabolic conditions. The opportunity exists to become an internal expert on GPCRs and metabolic drug discovery.Present findings at conferences and publish extensively in high quality peer-reviewed journals.When it comes to research and development, our goal is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that make life better for people around the world. During your experience you will get:Top industry research experienceMentoring by some of Lilly’s top scientistsLaboratory and classroom training and education to further your developmentCollaboration and networking across dozens of postdoctoral scientists and other researchersBasic Requirements:PhD in life science related fieldAdditional PreferencesTraining or background in G-protein coupled receptors, signal transduction or pharmacology would be advantageous.Excellent communicator (oral and written) with presentation experience, along with a strong publication record.Proficient in data analysis and reportingExperienced with cellular pharmacology/biochemistry/cell biology.Experienced with membrane receptors and signal transduction.Additional InformationThis position is not permanent.
