Purpose and Responsibilities:The Associate Director of the Clinical Data team is responsible for leading our business (leaders, project sponsors/owners, external suppliers and strategic partners) to innovative solutions and advanced transformational opportunities.  Foundational capabilities exist and further transformation is possible to drive a seamless flow of clinical data, with increasing the automation of data delivery and ensuring on demand insights are readily available.This includes driving ideas forward, leading delivery teams, identifying key value workstreams to prioritize and focus on enabling productivity on game change molecules.   A successful candidate for the role will have a deep technical curiosity around leveraging clinical data.   Prior experience will include meaningful hands-on technical work, people management experience (with engineering, GCP, operational and quality teams) to enable successful solution identification and delivery.Responsibilities include:Technical Delivery Develops strong understanding of business needs and innovates ways technology can change the way those business outcomes can be achieved.Develops business proposals for new capabilities, and/or improving utilization of existing assets with a heavy focus on driving value from these capabilities/assets.Communicates with business and IDS stakeholders and team members regarding project status, plans, issues and resolutions.  Develop resourcing plans, financial plans, and establish project teams to iterate forward on high value transformational efforts. People Management Manages IDS team (develops staffing strategy and resource capacity, recruiting and hiring) and dollars (budgets) to meet those objectivesCommunicate direction by prioritizing work within IDS portfolio of projects Manages performance through coaching and motivating, performance management, career planning, talent identification

 Relationship Management Establishes/maintains a strong working relationship with business partners, leads the flow of innovation and empowers a team can meet those needs through delivery capabilities.Enables business stakeholders to think differently and develops product roadmaps that demonstrate focus and speed to value.Understands, anticipates, elicits, and influences customer demand for information services.Leads the development of quality, scalable services or capabilities.Lead and collaborate with external vendors as necessary for delivery of solutions.
Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline such as computer science, information technology, data science, management information systemsMore than five years of experience delivering technology (and data centric) programs or projects and demonstrated successful business partnerships through change initiativesAgile training, certifications and/or applied experience
