Lilly Manufacturing strives for excellence in its process, standards, procedures and behaviors to develop medicines with safety first and quality always.The Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing (IPM) Site manufactures sterile injectable commercial and commercialization products in vial, cartridge, and pre-filled syringe formats with Safety First and Quality Always. The Associate Director – Engineering sets strategies and objectives for their area within IPM. They partner with other leaders to influence and implement the organization’s functional agenda, business plan priorities, and quality plan objectives for the site. They are responsible for developing employees as necessary to meet these business requirements.Responsibilities:Develop, mentor, coach, and recognize employees within their organization.Develop and implement business plan objectivesTrack team performance in carrying out and completing objectivesStaff the team with personnel capable of meeting business needs and objectivesBuild and drive safety and quality culture within organizationRemove barriers that impact team performanceProvide technical input/supportDevelop local processes and procedures in accordance with the FUME systemAssure an adequate number of qualified resources to perform asset management processesMeet the requirements of the FUME System through execution of local processes and procedures.Ensure equipment is properly maintained in a qualified state for reliable supply of medicineBasic Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Engineering4 years of experienceAdditional Preferences:Previous Parenteral manufacturing experiencePrevious supervisory/leadership experienceStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels (both oral and written)Strong talent development skills, especially mentoring and people developmentProven regulatory compliance knowledge (GMP, OSHA, etc.)Additional Information:This position’s work schedule is Monday – Friday days, but since the manufacturing area work schedule is 24 hrs/7 days per week, off-hours support may be required.Occasional travel may be required.Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription benefits are effective on your first day of employmentPaid vacation- starting annually at 120 hours (prorated based on start date)Eligible for annual bonusesEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
