Your work will focus on intravital in vivo imaging to demonstrate target delivery of antibody, peptide, and oligonucleotide to the specific organ/cell types. The successful candidate will join a highly interactive, collaborative, and innovative scientific team to discover and advance large molecule drugs to combat diseases in the diabetes, pain, neurodegenerative and auto-immune areas. If you are a hardworking and self-motivated multidisciplinary scientist with demonstrated experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and confocal microscopy, consider applying to this exciting role! Specifically, you will be able to:Apply bioimaging technology to identify tissue distribution of antibody, peptide and oligonucleotide in cellular level in vivoDevelop molecular strategies to improve productive antibody/peptide/siRNA delivery to the target cell in organ in vivo.Provide foundational knowledge for Lilly’s emerging antibody/peptide-oligonucleotide conjugate platform.Develop next generation of genetic medicines with targeted delivery to selective cells/tissues.Present findings at conferences and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals.This role will be embedded at Lilly’s Biotherapeutic Enabling Biology of Biotechnology Discovery Research in Medicines Innovation Hub (MIH), which serves as pioneering scientific unit working across all disease areas to identify and develop quality targets, hits, leads, and drug candidates.Basic Qualifications PhD in a life science related field with 2+ years of experience in confocal microscope, as well as intravital animal imagingAdditional Skills/PreferencesProficiency in rodent handling, pathology, and anatomy of organsAdept at cell culture, cell engineering, confocal microscopy, and data analysisWork well independently and in teamsSelf-directed and highly motivated and agile individual who wants to learn new techniques and apply them to biotherapeutic development and targeted deliveryExperienced with mammalian cell culture and subcellular trafficking by in vitro confocal imagingExperienced with immunofluorescence and 3D imaging is preferExperienced with light sheet microscopeShow scientific curiosity and learning agility for drug discovery and new technologies while continually pursuing research and publication goalsOutstanding communicator with a strong publication record and experience presenting at international conferencesProficient in data analysis and reporting (GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Spotfire, etc.)Eli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
