We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Lead Competitive Continuous Improvement (CCI) Coach Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:The Competitive Continuous Improvement (CCI) team in Kinsale provides leadership in operational excellence and productivity efforts by combining knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing with CI methodologies to deliver results. The Kinsale site has an extensive and growing Lean Production & Management system which we combine with traditional CI project based improvements (6 sigma, lighthouse, kaizen, others) to advance operation excellence for our strategic site.The focus of this role is to partner with all levels of the organisation across the Kinsale site and global functions to deploy operational excellence standards and deliver resultsKey Responsibilities:In line with the objectives above, the following are the key tasks undertaken by the role:Lean DeploymentSubject Matter expert for all Lean practices.Lead area based lean practices rollouts and support Lean maturity developmentProvide training & coaching to users at all levels.Coach the area to maximise the use of Lean practices as a key lever in delivering area Operational Excellence.Assess areas lean maturity & advise leadership on improvementsContribute to the Lean program design, developing elements which are common across process areas – current and next wave of lean practicesShared learnings across CCI team.Capture benefits of Lean program and celebrate successesBreakthrough (event-based) Improvement ProjectsServe as Lead CCI Coach partnering with Business Area Leads to identify and prioritise major improvement opportunities. Manage area and site level CI hopper.Recommend the appropriate methodology for the initiative (e.g. Lean Lighthouse, Kaizen Event, A3, VSM, other)Own execution of the event process to guide a team to identify, develop and deliver potential solutions and challenge the status quoProvide CI expertise to ensure robust Organizational Change Management and Monitoring Plans are in place to deliver & sustain improvementsEnsure lean principles and tools are integrated into both project execution and solution design and delivery.Work with & influence sponsors to successfully deliver identified improvements & escalate where appropriate as issues ariseOtherAd Hoc consulting/facilitation work (as required)Subject Matter Expert/owner on assigned aspects of site CCI programMay be asked to lead or participate in multi site improvements.Achieve & Maintain Lilly CCI Coach certificationAttributes for the RoleDemonstrated interest in Continuous improvementExcellent self-management and organizational skills; able to manage a varied workload, set personal and team priorities and adjust as neededAbility to identify and prioritize issues, develop and implement solutionsAbility to lead teams and projects – can organise & manage diverse groups in a dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to lead significant change, will need to influence without authority – at all levels in the organisationAbility to establish key relationships with internal and external contactsAbility to coach othersStrong communication and interpersonal interaction skills to be able to work effectively in a team-based environmentHigh learning agility and flexibility & ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertaintyEducational & Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science or BusinessLean Masters Qualification, Six Sigma Green Belt trained (Black Belt would be an advantage)Minimum 5 years experience in a CI role which must include extensive lean practices and event based CI successes preferably in a GMP manufacturing   facilityWorking knowledge of Toyota Production SystemProven experience in influencing, leading teams and driving change results orientationDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated facilitation experienceEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
