Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.Responsibilities:                           Workforce Productivity Services (WPS) enables our partners to be productive and empowered through the delivery of our innovative technology, robust and consistent customer service.  The ServiceNow Lead Architect is a technical leader who understands the capabilities of the platform, leverages its potential to address Lilly’s business and IDS needs, and maximizes the return on investment for this SaaS solution.The Lead Architect will influence, design, and manage the landscape of ServiceNow capabilities and will be responsible for realizing technology advancement opportunities in the platform, developing standards, leading technical governance, and driving the proper portfolio decisions against current and future needs of Lilly. Overall, the Lead Architect has advanced experience and knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, a sound understanding of Lilly’s business/technical strategy, and can merge both into a robust, long term vision.  Primary Responsibilities and Activities:Research and Understand Technology Trends and Platform DirectionUnderstand and influence ServiceNow’s product direction and pipelineUnderstand industry innovations/trends that affect our business and how Lilly is advancing in these areas (e.g., automation, cloud, self-service, citizen development, etc.)Align trends and product pipeline to ensure Lilly is maximizing the platform’s capabilitiesLead ServiceNow Architecture VisionDevelop the long-term architectural vision for ServiceNowLeverage the power of the platform by working across modules and capabilities to maximize benefitsWork to understand Lilly’s technology needs and define suitable solutions within the platform that fulfill this strategy. Recommend and influence adoption in alignment with Enterprise Architecture (EA)Map IDS needs for technical capabilities to the ServiceNow platform roadmap, drive rationalization in partnership with EA, and locate ways to reduce costs in ITIdentify dependencies and synergies with other key technologiesProvide thought leadership and counsel to the Platform Owner and CustodianTechnical Platform Governance Evolve, lead, and coordinate the ServiceNow platform technology governance, including triaging new platform module requestsDevelop, document, and communicate platform architecture standards and best practicesEnsure the platform adheres to Lily’s documented security, privacy, and regulatory controlsDrive timely management of platform lifecycle, leverage platform enhancement, and communicate major benefits/impacts to the business and IDS functionsReference ArchitecturePartner with Enterprise Architecture on positioning ServiceNow capabilities in Lilly’s reference architectureUnderstand other technologies in the reference architecture that overlap with ServiceNow offerings.  Develop decision trees.Partner across IDS with other Lead Architects to understand their initiatives, needs, learnings, and opportunitiesConsult and advise architects and project teams on appropriate positioning of ServiceNow capabilities for business needsParticipate in Enterprise Architecture and/or GIS Architecture governanceCommunity and EducationEducate and share across the IDS community to promote best practices and awareness of the ServiceNow platform and positioningMentor other technologists to grow knowledgeable and depth in ServiceNow capabilitiesParticipate in external ServiceNow user groups and communities to share knowledge, ideas, and best practicesBasic Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline (computer science, information systems, etc.) or related field10+ years of in-depth experience in designing and implementing IT solutions, spanning the entire software development lifecycle from project initiation to deployment, support, and retirement5+ years’ experience with the ServiceNow platform, modules, architecture, and securityQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
