Join Team Lilly today!Responsibilities:Keep safety as the top priority, engaging and leading a proactive safety approach.Work across all areas of achiral and chiral purification from crude sample analysis, method development and selection, purification, and quality control.Use scientific knowledge to leverage various analytical techniques to solve diverse problems, develop purification methods and participate in the future purification strategy.Have a strong customer-focused approach to ensure portfolio project teams can rapidly iterate through design cycles.Work in close collaboration with medicinal chemists and third-party partners to ensure a strong partnership and rapid delivery of quality data.Purification and analytical LCMS instrument responsibility, providing basic troubleshooting and partnering with groups for support.Partner closely with external providers to problem solve and enhance the relationship and teamwork.Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Basic qualifications and requirements:BS or MS in scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry) with laboratory experience or trainingAdditional Skills/Preferences:Industrial small molecule purification or characterization experience (LCMS, SFCMS)Hands-on experience in both analytical and preparative scale normal phase or reversed phase HPLC, and/or supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC)Experience using medium pressure (flash) instruments including method development using TLCHands-on experience with Waters, Agilent HPLC/MS, Agilent GC/MS, Shimadzu, Sepiatec, and/or ISCO instruments including command of hardware and softwareExperience maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, both software and hardwareExperience with software such as Agilent CDS/ChemStation, Waters MassLynx/OpenLynx, Agilent MassHunter, Shimadzu LabSolutions, Hamilton Venus, and KNIMEExperience with NMRBackground or experience in organic chemistryExcellent English language oral and written communication skillsDemonstrate excellent teamwork skills, very strong attention to detail, a high level of organization, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, the ability to work across functions and within a global organization, and the ability to perform in a flexible workforceWillingness to work across multiple analytical techniques as a member of the Analytical TeamEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
