Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.Responsibilities The Operator/Mechanic position will be responsible for both routine operations and as well as basic maintenance of the process equipment in the operational area.Operator ObjectivesEnsure strict compliance with established policies/procedures (Safety, Production Procedures, Sanitization, Gowning, Etc.) Completion of training and qualifications to stay current and qualified to perform job.Adhere to Parenteral Plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environmentPerform sanitizations in classified areas to maintain the sterility of the area, operation, and product.Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of productDocument process steps on appropriate batch documentation following Good Documentation PracticesSetup and perform operations task in both aseptic and non-aseptic processesMechanic ObjectivesInitial machine set-upMachine Change oversInitial troubleshootingBasic machine adjustments (i.e. above the line) / equipment cleaning (i.e. sensors)Component replacements, plug-and-play sensor replacements, equipment lubricationSimple alignment checksRoutine point of communication with maintenance re: state of the lineShadow/learn/support Engineering / Maintenance during building shutdowns  Basic Qualifications/Requirements: Technical High school diploma/GEDCompletion of Post Offer Exam, or Completion of Work Simulation if applicableAdditional Skills/Preferences:Technical CertificateCommitment to Team SuccessCommitment to Working SafelyDemonstrated Mechanical Aptitude / MechatronicsAbility to demonstrate attention to detailBasic math skillsBasic computer skills, with capability to learn in more detailExcellent documentation skillsAdditional Information:Starting work schedule is 8hr dayshift with required overtime and must be flexible to transition to 12hr night shift to support the project schedule which could consist of multiple weeks.Final shift schedule for this position is 12hr days (3-2-2-3) after the project phase is completedOvertime work may be requiredSome of the products in Parenteral Operations are known allergens and consequently, a post offer allergy test may be required.Eli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
