Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.Responsibilities Design and conduct in vitro gene editing assays with CRISPR-cas and other technologiesDrive the inception and execution of novel target projectsCollaborate with the in vivo biologists to plan and conduct in vivo validation studiesResponsible for providing critical insights and assessments on next-generation technologies (e.g. gene editing, delivery). Identify and liaise with potential partners, collaborators and thought leaders.Basic QualificationsPhD in biology or related disciplines. Experience (academic or industry) in CRISPR gene editing is required.Additional Skills/PreferencesPassion, knowledge and experience in neuroscience or rare disease research.Strong analytic thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to articulate issues, and extract and synthesize complex issues into key focus.Creative and curious. Can quickly adapt in a fast-paced working environmentStrong inter-personal and communication skills. Proven record to collaborate and network across a wide variety of functions and work effectively with internal and external partners.Good organizational skills and can pay attention to the detailsAdditional Information:Position Location: New York City, Prevail Therapeutics a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli LillyLilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $121,000 to $165,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
