Job Duties:Provides the necessary advice to the Site Manager / Engineer on site health and safety issuesMonitors compliance to the Company HSE by conducting regular inspections and internal auditing of site activitiesMonitor compliance with established site safety rules and make sure these are conspicuously postedUndertakes as a minimum a weekly safety inspection and prepares a report for submittal and review with the Site Manager. This report is also transmitted to the HSE CoordinatorConduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily Observation Register. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be reported immediately. Raise Near Miss / Incident Reports when highlightedReport immediately to the Site Manager any serious safety breaches that place workers in life-threatening situationsAssist the Site Manager, Construction Manager and Construction Supervisor in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statementsDevelop and deliver internal training courses on health and safety topics to the site teamUndertake a weekly Toolbox Talk with site assigned personnel and ensure that records are maintained of the talksAssist Construction Supervisors in delivering Pre-Task Briefings to the workforce on the control measures identified in risk assessments and the safe system of work to be adhered toDevelop and deliver the Site Safety Orientation Training for all workers including Subcontractors and visitors prior to starting work or visiting the siteAssist the Construction Manager in the development of safety procedures for high-risk activities and assist in briefing of the workforce on their responsibilities under these procedures. Audit against these procedures regularly and report any non-compliance to the Site ManagerComplete the incident notification and investigations and issue the report within 3 hours to the Site Manager, HSE Coordinator and HSE ManagerReview subcontractor Health & Safety plansAudit the registers and permit systems maintained for lifting equipment, lifting accessories, excavations, confined spaces, hot works, Lock-out/Tag-out, etc.Advise the Construction Supervisors and Construction Manager relative to the requirements the Company HSEProvide weekly input of HSE statistics and data to HSE CoordinatorExercise professional conducts alwaysAttend Subcontractor held Toolbox Talk sessions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:10 Years experience. 5 years in the UAE. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Relevant degree or diploma
