Job Summary

The Program and Project Management Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking an agile, highly talented Project Controls Technician to assist project teams for retail fuels construction projects across the United States.

This person will provide technical support for the project team taking each project from inception, through design, construction, and handover. The candidate will be working on projects including major and minor renovations and ground up new construction including site work and underground fuel tank installations, renovation, and rebranding.

This position is preferred in our Richmond, Virginia or Charleston, South Carolina office, but may be telecommute for the right candidate.

This position is expected to begin in September 2022

Job Summary Details

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Assisting the project team with: Project Plans, schedules, budgets, reporting
Assist with feasibility and due diligence
Assist with development of presentations as needed
Review and processing of vendor invoices
Assist in the procurement process
Strict adherence to AECOM and Client safety protocols
Excellent decision-making skills and a highly resourceful problem solver
Ability to initiate and establish business relationships with internal business partners and external consultants
Clear communicator and excellent presenter with oral, written, and graphic representation skills
Proactive on assignments and demonstrate initiative
Ability to work independently and complete multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines.
Process oriented, detail oriented, reliable and focused
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
Introduced to the expenditure process and begins reviews of expenditures for coding accuracy
Begins the commitment log for purchase orders and subcontracts
Assists in performance measurement and reporting
Assists in preparation of monthly reports and in execution of the change control process

Minimum Requirements

HS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Demonstrated proficiency in all MSFT applications and familiarity with Project Management and Scheduling Software
